Thanks Coach! They do not move around and they are not shaped like spheres but rather like "speed bumps" and they are sometimes tender, as is my whole body surface, from, I suspect, inflammation. I really hope they are not lipomas and are just plain old fat.
I've not experienced that, but Mayo Clinic says, "Often a lipoma is easy to identify because it moves readily with slight finger pressure. It's doughy to touch and usually not tender. You may have more than one lipoma." www.mayoclinic.com/health/lipoma/DS00634 a>
I have noticed about four lumps on my legs, which carry a lot of fat. I do have a sibling who had a lipoma. Since I'm about 50 lbs overweight, and since my legs are heavy, I can't figure out if these lumps are lipomas or just plain old fat. It makes a difference to me because I'd like to know if losing weight will get rid of them!
