Over the last 6 days I was able to do planks 3 times. 1:30, 1:32, & 1:35.

So grateful for my small group bible study on Wednesday nights. Love knowing there is a group of people that care and pray for me reguarly.

I am doing a slightly different 30-Day Plank Challenge, and I am up to 60 seconds. Never thought it was possible, but then I am used to doing planks as part of a longer workout...fresh out of bed in the morning I can do much better!

It's really tough! I'm still doing it on my elbows, but think I may try doing another 1.20 later on straight arms to compare the difficulty.

1 minute: Even a 5 second increase felt great to accomplish. Did 30 second planks on fitness tape too!
Thankful for my cat who distracted me while I was doing the plank! I think I will try to use visualizations to get over the 1 minute mark...it is hard territory!

Rest days are crucial for recovery...I'm glad they are part of the plan. I decided trying my best and repeating a hold time might be my personal best while seeing if I could go further and giving thanks for that!

Staying at 55 sec. plank. Wow! Great exercise for strength! I want to eventually progress to Plank with dumbbell rows. Hope everyone is gaining strength and confidence. I am thankful for good friends. emoticon

I thought the elbow one was the 'proper' one and the extended arms was a modification? Elbows is harder in my opinion!

Totally forgot to post yesterday.
35 seconds yesterday and I actually did 35 seconds today, then realized it was a rest day. Oh well.

Pretty sure my son is taking care of the situation at school, at least that's what his text messages would lead me to believe.

I have decided to do a 30 Day Plank Challenge and hope you will join me. The following link has a calendar with what to do each day. This challenge might take you more than 30 days to master and that's okay. If you can't do the amount suggested, do what you can and try to increase each day.
