I have the Les Mills BodyPump dvd kit.....It is worth it??!! I have only tried a few of the dvd's. I just wish the one I stuck to was a little longer then 30 minutes, but I guess that is enough time to push and motivate. It was challenging. But the weights that you get with the set are plastic and filled with sand? But they roll on the bar, and I feel they could have put a little more extravagant into the weights, seeing since the set did cost a fortune. well small fortune. I did pay in installments and just finished paying the last $60.00 this june. The installments make it more manageable too. Anyway, I didn't like the weights, but that is a small price to pay for me. Maybe you will.....If you choose to go that route, good luck and I hope it is all you are looking for. Jen

I did understand you. I would buy the dvd series and see how you do. I have watched the commercial on this and it looked like fun.

Great info, thanks!

I'm going to see if I can just buy the DVDs, though I doubt it since BB lives their pre-made kits!

I have Les Mills Pump. I really like it. It's a good workout, the trainers are very motivating and the music is great. It will definitely challenge you. The only negative I have is that the weights you get with the kit are not the same used in the video. Now normally that wouldn't be so bad, but they use the weights alone for some exercises and holding on to them can be difficult. I've just substituted for hand weights.

I don't think you understood my post.

A) I cannot take GYM class, therefore this is about the DVDs (see original post for more)

B) CE is a 3 month program of which I've taken part for years, doing several rotations

Now, with those facts clarified, do you have advice specific to the DVD program for LM BP?

I saw the video on this and it looked like fun. Can you motivate yourself to do this.......? I take Group power weight lifting classes and love those. I would try this Body Pump.

I've done multiple (like over 10) rounds of ChaLEAN.

I wanted something less 'canned' and Amazon.com seems to be the only place w/o canned responses but there are a lot of negatives there and all positive elsewhere. That's why I was trying here, where I know so many different kinds of people try things :)

I recommend checking out the reviews and comparing them to the ChaLEAN. I haven't done either, but heard both were great.

Any warnings or reviews?

It seems like everybody loves the classes but I am 60 miles from the nearest gym, so that is completely out.

I love ChaLEAN Extreme but don't know if I'll like LM since it's the opposite mentality! I'm interested because I'm one of those people who get bored and always look for something new.
TIA!
