Yeah, other peoples' attitudes about us losing weight can get complicated. Some are really supportive and others feel defensive, envious, afraid or angry. some sabotage to justify their own struggles. I just hope I was never one of those. There is such a thing as healthy selfishness - it is self-responsible to face your own challenges and root for your accomplishments. Go for it! emoticon Other Sparkers will always yell RAH-RAH! and emoticon

You’ll get where you want to go as long as you are taking more steps in the right direction than the wrong one.

That is so true. Not everyone will be happy for accomplishments..

I think when you make a big change in your life., some people see it as a judgment on the changes they are not making in their lives. Or if not a judgment, then a wake up call from a drowsiness they want to hang onto. What ever the case, taking charge of yourself can feel like a challenge to some others.

Sparkies will cheer you on.

emoticon What I am learning on my weightloss journey is that not everyone is happy for you when you are loosing weight. I think that some people actually like me better heavier, but I didn't like myself when I was heavy. I am learning to be my biggest chearleader.
