Yeah, other peoples' attitudes about us losing weight can get complicated. Some are really supportive and others feel defensive, envious, afraid or angry. some sabotage to justify their own struggles. I just hope I was never one of those. There is such a thing as healthy selfishness - it is self-responsible to face your own challenges and root for your accomplishments. Go for it! emoticon Other Sparkers will always yell RAH-RAH! and emoticon

I think when you make a big change in your life., some people see it as a judgment on the changes they are not making in their lives. Or if not a judgment, then a wake up call from a drowsiness they want to hang onto. What ever the case, taking charge of yourself can feel like a challenge to some others.

emoticon What I am learning on my weightloss journey is that not everyone is happy for you when you are loosing weight. I think that some people actually like me better heavier, but I didn't like myself when I was heavy. I am learning to be my biggest chearleader.
