I start a load every morning, go home at lunch and start another load, and then do 2 or 3 loads every evening. But that's due to 3 teenagers who play sports on top of regular laundry.

I don't have a certain day or time that I do the laundry. When it needs to be done I do it. The more often I do it during the week the less I have to do when it comes to the weekend.

I like a clean house and clothes. I try to get the laundry put away soon.

I really enjoy my free time.

I hauled at least 6 loads of clean laundry to bedrooms to be put away today. It definitely was a mountain!

My mom always did all the laundry on the same day of the week. She always folded everything as she took it out of the dryer or off the line. It was what worked best for her.

I don't follow the same system or have the exact same standards as my mom had. I do laundry when it needs done throughout the week. I don't fold things immediately. Things get done. People always have clean clothes to wear. No one in my house is complaining.

You could ask your mother what her system of handling laundry is but it may not work as well for you.

EOWYN...had to laugh because I call laundry day Climbing Mount Maytag.

Old washer gave up the ghost early last year and got new "eco" friendly style with no big agitator. Works quite differently from old model, so of course, family members complain about it. It does take longer for a wash to run, too. But it does work despite what my family says.

Our washer has been broken for a week or so now. We didn't have the money to go to a laundry mat, so now I have what seems like tons and tons of laundry to do. I was already a bit behind before the washer went out, now it seems like all the clothes need to be washed.

Girl I am so far behind right now it is ridiculous. So I feel ya. I've gotta leave work today and do a few loads and still will not get done. Sigh

I keep laundry baskets in our bedrooms--one for whites, one for darks...and when they're full I do a load! I like to start a load when I first get up--then by the time I've taken my kids to school & gotten ready to workout, they're ready for the dryer.

By the time I'm done working out, it's all ready to hang up & fold....and I didn't feel like it was a chore at all! :)

I'm really bad about doing laundry everyday, so I just set up a weekly schedule. Saturday is my designated laundry day, mostly because it's also the day I'm up and around cleaning the house. Then on Sunday I set out all my outfits for the week. Once you get into a system you will feel better.

Do you have a washer & dryer at home or do you need to go to a laundry facility? If you do your laundry at home, it's real easy to start a load in the washer before you start dinner, then put it into the dryer after dinner. If you have to go to a facility, it's a good time to catch up on your reading, correspondence, or do something on your laptop while the clothes spin & tumble.

I wash clothes almost every day or else we'd have huge piles of clothes to wash.

*sits on the floor and cries*
I have about 8-9 loads of clothes to wash today, though that's including my kids' comforters.

I have like 3 rounds of laundry to fold and put away. And they're all just my clothes! I feel sooo lazy and unwilling to do it. I'll have to grit my teeth one of these days and do. And I'll have to keep doing it and not let it accumulate like this. Sigh! I hate doing laundry! But it's a necessary evil!

I wonder how my Mom keeps up with my Dad and brother's laundry, as well as her own. I have to learn to be as efficient as her..........sigh!
