Well done. Sounds like you're getting the hang of it. Stay on the heels, if you're off you're heels, you've done something wrong. Keep practicing form, but sounds like you're on a good path.

Bill- no, I had just started with them, and I didn't bring pictures with me to the gym, so I was trying to make my arms perpendicular to the floor, not parrellel. Handstand practice last month had gotten my wrists plenty flexible, luckily.

Today's Success was 155 on my squat, and 225 on my deadlift. I think my squat form improved too, as I did better at driving my heels into the floor instead of basically making it a "good morning" excercise instead.

I hit 267 yesterday - that means I am out of the 270's and down 45 pounds.

Cool! What was hanging you up on that? Wrist flexibility?

I love seeing this thread resurrected. I think I finally got rack position for power cleans figured out.

This may sound mundane, but my success was getting onto a new workout routine successfully before I started a new job (not waiting 6 months later). Thanks for this question. The answers are truly inspirational.

I've checked in and spun the wheel for a full year as of today....problem is, on Monday I stilled weighed the same as when I started a year ago. At one point during the year, I dropped under 200 for a week or so.

I have lots and lots of excuses, but I'm sure no one wants to hear them. Comes down to me not putting forth the effort. So I am back to tracking my food and stopping the mindless eating...2 days so far, but it's another start.

Matt

I lost 19 pounds since early October.

In the past, I have exercised or dieted. but this time, I have had a mental reawakening. My family, co-workers and wife have noticed the difference in me.

This time, it's gonna stick, because my life depends on it. I have the perfect arrangement. Working out at the gym with my much younger "gym rat" boss, eating smaller portions of healtheir foods, and seeing major results on the scale and other parts of my life.

I came up with a personal mantra of: Go live your life, you IDIOT. It's been patiently waiting for you. It helps me get through the rough stuff.

Got back to repping 205 bench 3x5. First time I've been able to do that since I was about 180. Lost too much muscle to make featherweight, but I'm slowly putting it back on and without too much fat build up

First time I used 50# dumbbells for Inclined Flyes, I barely made it.

Yamon, for sure. I actually seem to progress a lot more during the off season. Weather is more cooperative and playing sports doesn't "get in the way" (which is ironic because it's what I do this for). I'm optimistic that you'll hit your goals. You're improving big time. Way to go, sir.

Bill- I hit a 28:16 today. I am thinking I can break 28:00. Ultimate goal? If I can get sub-27, that would be really something for me, but my new goal is sub-28, and maybe an assault on 27 in 2013. Since I felt pretty good after the race was over, I think I could have pushed myself a but more, even though I beat my PR by 25 seconds. Woohoo!

Offseason conditioning may start soon- more lifting and ST!

Nice man. This is a numbers thread, so what was your number and what are you shooting for next time since you had some left in the tank?

New PR for me in my 5k today, and I feel like I had something in the tank at the end, so I can still do better!

For me; 1.) my triceps are popping out bigtime, once I really decide to start "cutting" they are going to huge. 2.) My personal best for shrugs was this week I did 4 sets of 15 reps at 200+ with a barbell (not a Smith Machine).

Latest is seeing that my size 34 jeans are getting too big for me and starting to see the 6 pack forming in my abs. Oh, and being able to make my pecs dance again. LOL

So, I am in the mood to hear some good things. What was your latest success/milestone/something you are proud of?

For me it was getting to two sets of ten close in push ups and progressing to wall walk downs to bridge in my bridging progression.
