I will have to tell my mom to stay away from the Lane Bryant jeans. We bought her some blouses for Christmas and were pleased with those.

Roamans/WomanWithin are also owned by Lane Bryant.

I have some Lane Bryant jeans that I bought at least 6+ years ago, and just in the last year has one pair started to deteriorate. It's sad to know that the quality in the new jeans is no longer up to par. Hope you're able to find some replacements. I don't know if you have a Cato store near you, but I have had good luck with their jeans/clothes over the years...

I wear the Riders brand of jeans and can find them in size 26. Not expensive, around $25.00 and they last a long time. I get mine at either Shopko or Farm and Fleet. Don't know if you have either of those stores near you or not.

Gloria Vanerbilt are really good, I am sorry to hear the quality of LB has gone down so much I have two old pair I wear all the time. I find anything I buy at Old Navy has to be altered to fit right.

I quit buying jeans from Lane Bryant and buy from Walmart which carries the Just My Size for a lot cheaper and also JCPenney carries plus size jeans at a good price and quality and at Penney's I can wear an even smaller size in some of their plus size jeans.

Lane Bryant and Fashion Bug are partner companies, but I have been buying my jeans at Fashion Bug for about a year. I have 2 pairs, and I wear them literally EVERY DAY. As soon as I'm home from work, my jeans come on. Weekends and days off find me in my jeans too. The pair I wear most often (4-5 days each week) I've had for almost 6 months, and they show no signs of wearing in the crotch/thigh area which is where I usually have the problem. I found that if you go for darker jeans, they are typically sturdier fabric and hold up longer, and as a bonus, are more slimming...yay! You can get good deals at Fashion Bug if you like them on Facebook, or sign up for emails or their "Bug Bytes", which are text messages with special deals and coupons for member, sent about once a week.

I have noticed a decline in LB quality overall --with the exception of the cacique line --I will always go to them first and foremost for my bras. However, for the rest of my wardrobe I only go there for the clearance racks. Old Navy has a plus line that is only on the Internet. If jeans are going to rip out or fray in a short matter of time and they just aren't the quality that you're paying for, then you may as well shop at Old Navy or Walmart.

I buy men's wranglers and they slowly fray in that area after about six months.

It may take $10 to have the jeans tailored, but that would teach you where to take them in for your own alteration.

I seem to be going thru jeans from Lane Bryant like none other! They rip out between the legs way faster than they use to. I just ordered jeans a few months ago, and a few months before that. I had probably 5 or so pairs of jeans and am now down to 2. Is anyone else noticing this with Lane Bryant jeans? And does anyone know of anywhere else good to get size 28 or size 26 jeans?
