I prefer the lara bars because they have no wheat products and because they have no dairy. I am lactose intolerant so the chocolate and yogurt on the luna bars is a bozo no-no for my tummy. I'm like a previous poster, I can eat 1/2 of one and feel satisfied for hours.
Luna bars are good when you want something chocolate or sweet but need protein. I tend to eat them for a snack before going to the gym, or when I need a heavy snack to get me through a long afternoon. My favorite is Chocolate Peppermint Stick.
Lara bars are good when you want something sweet to boost your energy and blood sugar, or just want a healthy, filling sweet treat. They're chewy, which is comforting. I prefer the Key Lime flavor, or the Coconut Cream Pie or Lemon flavors.
I like the Larabars. Because they are so sweet, I can eat just half of one and feel like I had a whole dessert.
I usually get them at Whole Foods or Trader Joes, but found them at Wal-Mart in Atlanta recently!

Sorry I accidentally posted too many times.
Yes, they are very filling and don't taste so fake and artificial like all the other bars out there.
I checked the other flavors. Dates are a medium high glycemic food so I think that is how the bars get the high sugar content. They are all at 18g of sugar so I'll stick to apple pie or any another flavor, just not cherry pie, though I do love cherries. I'll share with my son since he seems to like them.
I have tried both LARA and LUNA bars. I really like them both. LARA is very basic with only a few ingredients. LUNA has a ton more ingredients, but still claims to be all natural. Does anyone have an opinion about which bar is better for you nutritionally speaking? I find them sometimes a good snack when I am on the run (like I had one while skiing this weekend) or a good easy way to increase my calcium or other specific nutrients when I am going to fall short that day.
