Take your time to explore all the resources available for you here. It can seem overwhelming because there are so many resources to choose from. Two to consider using are the Nutrition and Fitness Trackers. Also, check out Spark Teams under the COMMUNITY Tab. Do searches on your goals, interests, hobbies, whatever. Then join one, two or more Spark teams. You'll enjoy getting to know these folks and giving and getting lots of encouragement along the way. It's all good. Enjoy the journey!

Hi Everyone.

I have just joined sparkpeople 3 days ago because I need help! In the last two years, I have gained approximately 100lbs. No matter what diet I tried, I noticed that losing the weight wasnt the problem, it was keeping it off! I also realized that one of the reasons why I am fat is because my brain tells me that is what I am suppose to me. When I really started to listen to the voices in my head (no I dont talk back to them lol), I realized that my brain had been programmed negatively to deceive me. It was telling me things like, its so hard and time consuming to exercise, you wont lose the weight so dont bother, just eat a little chocolate now and you will feel better about your day. I realized that I had programmed my brain to think like this, and since that is the case, I can program my way to think differently too. I also realized I really needed the support and positivity of others, and that is why I joined this website. I wish everyone luck in losing their weight. If you believe it you can achieve it!
