I am wondering what you guys think might be going on here. I am in physical therapy for mainly alignment issues but she mentioned she didn't like the sound coming from my knees and suggested not doing squats past 40 degrees. I have not had pain in them but they do make a mild crunching sound. I overdid the leg press machine on Monday with my trainer and I have some discomfort (not pain really) in the front of my knees. Is this related to the suggestion of not going too deep on squats? I have had this discomfort before doing deeper squats some time ago- is this something I just need to build up my strength or am I doing damage? I have an appointment coming up with my doctor on March 2nd, but would like to have some thoughts from all of you. I am not doing any weight bearing knee stuff until they feel better.
