Yes, and I would love to swim. I've been looking into it and can't seem to find a pool open during the times I would be able to swim and I can't afford the Y.

Swimming is a good activity that doesn't put any pressure on your joints.

Thank you for your suggestions. I've been icing it off and on everyday and just walking, not putting extra strain on my knees. It's almost back to normal, I will have to be careful and do exercises that don't put a lot of stress on my knees. Any suggestions?

I agree with the previous poster. Swelling usually means there's something wrong, so it's best to get it looked at just to be safe.

Definitely rest! NEVER "push through the pain". Since there's swelling, that indicates potential injury, so I would recommend going ahead and checking with your doctor to be safe. When you are injured, continuing to exercise will likely exacerbate the injury.

I've been doing bending and stretching exercixes along with walking as much as I can. Yesterday after doing wall slides my knee started swelling so I've been icing it. Should I continue wth the exercising or take it easy for a few days? The last time this happend it was worse and I was sent to physical thereapy to strenghen my muscles which helped. So I think maybe if I do what I can it might help, I don't know.
