Pain isn't normal and you shouldn't run through it. Take a few days off, rest & ice and if the pain does not lessen at all in 48 hours, you should see a doctor, preferably a physiotherapist.

I'm getting a pain in my knee, not usually during running but afterwards and sometimes in the morning. It almost feels like I got close to hyperextending it. Is that a normal thing that happens to runners? I don't want to stop running. Is it ok to keep going? I did finally get some great new shoes and now I'm wondering if I hurt myself back when I was running in crappy shoes. I wonder if its ok to keep going now that I'm in good shoes..... I'm still new at this running thing....
