$1.39 in laporte Indiana with is about 25 miles from me. I did see a report today that says there is great chance that it could go down to $1.00. The report says it only needs to drop about 10 more dollars per barrel. That would be amazing to see.

The thing is, though, there was a German analyst I read back in March who said that because oil prices were driven by the speculators that this would happen. He predicted $1.75 gasoline by the end of 2008, and I guess he was right! When I was telling people what he said back in May/June/July, they thought we were both nuts! Damn, I hate being right when there's no money to be made from it!

All three of my cars require premium fuel only, and for the first time this weekend I pumped premium at UNDER $2 a gallon ($1.97, but still under!). I can't even remember the last time I was able to do that.

I've seen as low as 1.69 at Kroger (grocery) with shopper card and accumulated points you can get it for 1.59. That's in Cincinnati, OH; home of Spark.
