Thanks so much to all of you for responding. This is so encouraging.

I did know about the carbs - fiber = net carbs. My question should have been more specific:

Are the carbs we see and then track from SparkPeople food search the net carbs? OR
Is there a way to show fiber in case I have to do the math?

it would definitely be nett carbs as total carbs are not important since they are not digested. there is a method though to calculate the nett carbs - subtract the dietry fiber from the total carb amount therefore fiber - carbs = nett carb value. be aware that low carb foods state that fiber is actually the sugar alcohols even though they are not as they want to sell more product. good luck
