I agree with DRAGONCHILDE. Do what you can. As the weight comes off, as you build endurance, and as you really start to feel better, your jumps won't be as hard. I still do very little impact with my workout videos, but get an awesome workout regardless.

No but I was thinking about getting one. I took my pulse during the water breaks and it was doing really good. It wasn't too high but high enough that I knew I was working hard. Losing over 30 lbs has helped huge on how I feel, I just think I'm beating the snot out of my knees and ankles so I'm trying to modify things so it's low impact but still working hard.

It may burn fewer calories, but don't worry about that. Do what you can. the difference will be slight, since your weight makes it harder.

Do you have a heart rate monitor?

Hi Everyone,

I have been trying to do the insanity work out but I am still carrying enough weight that the jumping exercises are bothering my joints so I am modifying them slightly. Should I extend my work out time or does that still count the same even if I'm not actually jumping off the ground? I'm still huffing and puffing like crazy lol.
