I really feel silly calling you MA when we are the same age but that will have to do since everyone else calls you MA--and that is your Spark Name emoticon

I really thought a lot about 'joining' this team because I am really involved in the 5% Summer Challenge, FIRECRACKER TEAM- emoticon emoticon -as a team leader and I really LOVE it

BUT I also love emoticon emoticon the team members here who go WAY BACK years and would love to be a part of this team

SO GLAD YOU SENT ME THE INVITE THIS AFTERNOON emoticon

I'll set up my start weight chart and get going

One question: How do I find this team every day? Do I have to go to Spark Mail and find your spark mail link? or what? I'm not at all familiar with this message board set up.

AND - I much prefer the "TEAM SETUP"--for me it seems to be SO MUCH easier to figure out what we are saying and doing without having to scroll all the way up and down the post. Just my personal thoughts. This system is really hard for me to follow. emoticon

MA - I agree that this message board format is much easier to keep up with than teams. It's great that we have options when it comes to challenges here on Spark.

I plan to do much better in this challenge than I did in the last one. I want to at least reach my goal. In the last challenge, In the last challenge I actually got below my goal weight at one point, but then I overate until I was back up to almost my challenge start weight. I WILL NOT do that again!!

Good Morning all

Late start this morning. I didn't go to bed until after 3am. I need to work on getting more rest. I am glad to see you all here so early. Not sure what I have planned for today. I put the birds outdoors so they could enjoy the sunshine today. There are so many things I need to get done, but think I will just take a day to relax. Not even sure how much of an effort I am going to put forth to get in my fitbit steps. You all better believe I will be back at this tomorrow in full force.

Does anyone know of a Team whereas they have an ongoing weight loss challenge for a period of say 7 - 10 weeks. A weigh in thread and a chat thread. Whereas they don't create new threads or topics everyday, that could of just as well been placed on the chat thread.
Like a new Topic - where are U from? You reply to it once and it ends up in your recent post for two years. If a teammate is truly interested, most info can be or should be able to find on your SparkPage. I don't like the new wall feature either. I am finding a community challenge thread is probably less time consuming than most teams, that expect you to find time to post to a lot of Topics or threads. I am retired and probably have more time than most, but I do have a good life away from SparkPeople too. I wonder how working Moms with careers and children to care for even find time for SP w/o neglecting something. I sure hope it isn't the children. I have birds to care from and have to admit Oliver yells at me at nite sometimes to cover him because I am busy on the computer - Shame on me.

Anyway that's my whine for the day, I will get off my soapbox and go tend to the ole thread. I am anxious to see if we lost that 75 pounds for the entire challenge. I think we could of done better, but I say that about everything. There is always room for improvement no matter what.

GolfinMomma will be an honorary member this time around, if she post every week, even though she can't weigh in due to surgery. If she is able to weigh in the last week of the challenge we will take credit for her LOSS.

This challenge has officially started, so lets do our best. MA

Starting weight 197. Will not be able to weigh on due to cast and not being able to put weight on right leg. If I can I will stand one legged at the end for weigh in. By then I will be in a boot which I have already weighed. I will be watching all of you and hoping for the best.

We also like to see comments on the thread between weigh ins or feel free to go to any contenders Sparkpage to encourage them or be their friend.

I would like to join challenge but will not be able to weigh in each week. My surgery is June 23 and I will be bed ridden for 5 weeks. So unable to weigh in. So even though you will drop me I am going to do thus challenge just to keep myself on track with the rest of you. Will hopefully have an air boot on my leg by August which I will weigh before it goes on. I need something to stop me from lying in bed just eating. I will be watching all of you and using your successes to keep me on track.
