7/4/13 I found myself "home alone" on vacation this morning and managed to get a little exercise in. I did a few strength exercises to warm up, then did a vigorous walk around the block (jogged a little bit of it), and then stretched a little. It doesn't sound like much, but I am pretty pround of myself for doing it while on vacation.

The little bit of jogging reminded me that I am not a runner and probably never will be. But I am glad I tried it. I was wondering how it would feel now that I am in better physicial shape.

I usually do about 2000 minutes a month, but I have been slacking off a bit lately. I think that my goal for July should be 2500.

I'll be on vacation from 7/3 to 7/8 and will probably post very little during that time. But I hope to squeeze a few fitness minutes in here and there. I guess I will be "playing catch up" with my minutes for the rest of the month.

In this challenge, we simply track our fitness minutes. Set your own goal as to how many minutes you wish to work out in July and keep us posted as to how you are doing. The following format is recommended (but not required.)

goal / # of minutes today / # of minutes remaining to reach goal

My goal will be my usual 600 minutes -- that's 30 minutes x 5 days per week x 4 weeks. I have been exceeding it lately, but as I will be going on vacation in July and will certainly miss a few workouts, I'll keep it at 600.

600 / 0 / 600 minutes remaining.

Everybody is welcome to join. The more, the merrier!
