This is a great challenge, and on one of my teams I am trying to encourage them to get at least 30 minutes a day for this week.

I'm in. I'm starting light this challenge because I'm just getting back into exercising after a long hiatus.

If I make my goal before the end of the month I'll readjust my goal.

Did Day 1 of the January Jumpstart. I know I am supposed to do it only the first day of the week, but I am going to try and do it all 7 days to increase my cardio minutes. I also walked today for a total of 30 minutes.

I joined a minute challenge at our YMCA. 2012 minutes by April...something-th. We have to average 150 minutes a week to make that goal. So, that will be my goal here. YAY! I love this thread already!

So I didn't do great in December .. the holidays are so busy and its easy to get out of your routine! I'm going to try for 800 minutes this month. I did a cardio funk class at the Y today for 60 minutes!

Hello, I officially started my weight loss journey on the 26th of December . I have been doing great so far.. one week later. I would be pleased to add more challenges to ensure my weight loss success.

I am in. I started this challege last month and aimed a little high at 1500 minutes and did not even reach 1000. So this month I am going to drop it a little to see if I can be successful. This challenge really helped keep my exercising in the front of my mind and helped motivate me to exercise when I didn't want to.

I did Day 1 of the January Jumpstart Challenge and will be walking later.

Happy January!

This challenge has really helped me over the year (or two??) that I've been part of it. Even when I don't meet my goal, I still get in a lot more minutes than I would have if I wasn't keeping track.

In general, I aim to maintain my health and weight, as well as give my back issues some aid via strength training.

I have joined the "Official January Jumpstart Workout Challenge" here on SparkPeople (link below), as I appreciate having structure and love Coach Nicole's videos!

Welcome to our new workout minutes challenge for January. We would love to have some new folks join us this month!!! Now that the holidays have passed-I am hoping to make 2012 a year dedicated to good health and weight loss, now that I am over 60 I find that it is so easy to put the pounds on and so darn hard to take them off!! Hopefully we will all stick with our workouts and be in much better shape as we head into this upcoming Yearl!
