I just found this group. I want to join. Will post my numbers later today.

4. Motivation - I need to lose 25 pounds before surgery, probably in July. Also, want to train for a 5k and a bike race.
5. Delight - I am enthused to make these changes.

Yesterday was another healthy food day, but I only did strength, no cardio. Today will be healthy also and a 60 min Nordic walk with DH is planned.

1. Calories: within ranges the last 3 days
2. Exercise: 442 min for June
3. Water: 8 all days
4. Motivation:
5. Delight: down 3 lbs


Tomorrow will be a challenge as DDs bought us tickets to the play Chicago for mother's day. It is a brunch then the play, one could easily consume 5000 calories at one of these brunches, the tickets were $58.00 each so a person(me) always feels you need to eat your money's worth, and I love the desserts.

I don't have a plan yet other than to enjoy it, but that would sabotage the last 4 days.

Sorry I haven't been as consistent here. I haven't been as consistent with anything this week!

My successes:
Didn't go overboard on sweets
Drank more water some days
Worked on dealing with stress in healthy ways
Worked on balancing demands of work and family during a very busy week

Motivation: using heavy resistance band with no mods
Delight: out with friends this evening

Successes:
- Did good with my calories most of the week
- Completed all my exercise
- Drank plenty of water
- Pushed myself with my ST this week and noticed that I only really *had* to do mods with exercises for my shoulders...now I know to really focus on that area!
- Ended the work week with zero things on my to-do list, which almost never happens

Michelec13, for hot days, I try to exercise indoors at the gym or indoors at home with fitness equipment or a dvd, spark video, etc.. Or you could try a water workout in a pool like water aerobics or swimming laps. Or, I get up earlier to workout before it's heated up so much. Those are my "go to" exercise options when it's really hot. emoticon

Successes for the week -
I met my goal with four workouts this week (see #4). However, I am up 0.4 pound this week at my weigh in. Considering the days I was not able to exercise and being out of town & eating out for three days last weekend, I am okay with it. I am still going to try to do well with my eating and work towards my monthly weigh loss goal.
I have really been struggling the past two weeks with getting back into a routine/schedule . . . with the long Memorial Day weekend, then being out of town the next weekend, the kids out of school, etc etc. I have been off schedule with weekly things like grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning, errands, exercise, sleep, etc. I am aiming to get back to more of a regular schedule with those things next week.
I have done well with drinking lots of water . . . good thing, because it's been really HOT.

Motivation - to lose my spare tire!
Delight - having a piece of chocolate b-day cake for someone's b-day at work. Did not feel guity because I have been eating so healthy the past three months!

(have not done as well in the exercise dept. in the last couple of days--super hot here and I think that kind of zaps me, but all of you are motivating me to keep going!! :)

I still have to make modifications when exercising with my heavy resistance band because I find it so challenging, and I'd like that to change!

Me too! I haven't been as active here lately but it's still important to me to take care of myself and meet my goals.

My motivation this month is to jog for 15 minutes straight by the end of the month.

We do a new one of these challenges each month, and everyone is welcome to join! Each day we check in to post our calorie intake, our minutes of exercise, our glasses of water, our current goal or motivation and a delight. Here is a sample:

5/31:

1. Calories: 1530
2. Exercise: 45 min.
3. Water: 8
4. Motivation: eventually jog 30 minutes
5. Delight: seeing a heron on the way to work

Every Friday, we also check in to share our success from the week - big and small, they're all great! It's inspiring and motivating to read what others post. Along the way we offer support and encouragement to each other.
