Lost a total of 5.6 in July. Not quite 10 pounds, but still very happy with it! The weight is not coming off as fast as when I first started, but hey at least I'm still losing. Bring on August!

I had my last official weigh in for July this morning (my slimming club weighs in on Saturdays) and have lost another pound and a half. That gives me a total of 6 pounds lost in July. I never made my target but I am still pleased with what i lost. emoticon

I'm not going to lose the 10 pounds, but I only have $7 more dollars to put in my quarter jar to reach my goal of $50 for July.

I had my weigh in this morning and have lost 2.5 pounds, making a total of 4.5 pounds lost so far this month. I only have one more official weigh in this month so won't make my target but i'm pleased to be losing.

I'm weighing in tomorrow! I hope to be down at least to 297. Wish me luck! I guess my main goal this month was to break into the 200's which I did but I would like to aim for 294 which would be 10lbs

One more pound down for July! Total of 3.8 pounds lost this month. Don't think I will be making the ten pound goal, but I'm still really happy with my progress. And there is still more time!

I am still around and following this challenge but i have been away on holiday. I don't think i can realistically lose 10 pounds now, as i have only 2 more weekly weigh ins this month: so I am aiming for 8 . I have lost 2 pounds so far. I am delighted with that as i normally gain a lot of weight on holiday but I am behind re my target but will do my best!

Congrats to everyone doing so well on this thread. It's great to come back from holiday and find everyone so motivated and some great weight losses on here! emoticon emoticon

Woo this is a tough month for me! I'm down about 3 pounds this month., I worked out 95 minutes today so hopefully when I weigh in tomorrow the scale with reflect it. Wish me luck! How is everyone elses month going? :)

Little late to the game this month, but these are my favorite challenges. I always look at it as a great way to look at the smaller picture which is much more manageable than looking at all the weight I want to loose. Already lost 1 pound this month!

I was down 2 pounds from the 8 I wanted, but then it went back to 1 (Paula Abdul style-Opposites Attract). I'm trying to have small goals, but look at the big pic. I think the quarter jar is fantastic for that dual perspective so thanks again for that tip! If I don't make the ultimate goal, I'm glad to be on this thread just for that tip! Im down 1 lb and several inches! Im hoping to make 10 lbs but Im kind of at that stage where im gaining muscle mass so pounds lost might be lower but my body is changing!

I set up a small glass jar in my home office that I put quarters into for healthy behaviors, such as exercise, tracking my food, staying in calorie range taking all my supplements, even making my bed and putting on makeup. and anything else that happens on a daily basis that I feel good about. for example, not caving into when the kids order pizza. its a visual reminder to me that I AM doing things that are good for me.

every 15 mins of exercise gets a quarter, if I do exercise other than walking with friends (my favorite) I get an extra quarter.

I'm going for 8 pounds because I've been on a two-year plateau...okay it's not really a plateau unless you are actively still trying! I'm new today but I need this kind of accountability. Thanks! How do you set up those tracker bars y'all all seem to have?

This is exactly what I needed too! I started on the site about 4 days ago but I've been working on losing weight since about April. I lost about 17 pounds (from 200 to 183) and kept it off between mid-april to the beginning of June by working out about 6 days a week and eating decently healthy. (I've always eaten pretty healthy with a mom who's job is part nutritionist). But I went on vacation and stopped my workout routine (I walked on the beach daily but still not burning 500 calories a day) and gained all of it but 9 pounds back. So I'm up to 191 again. I'm back to my 5-6 days a week workout but this time I'm working on my diet a lot more. I really want to get down to 180 by the end of July!

This is just what I needed, I want to be down 10 by the end of July also. This extra motivation will especially help tomorrow at the picnic I am going to, being held accountable will probably keep me away from the food table!
