Just saw this thread and wanted to respond.

Weekend Now: Open Water Swimming 3K Sat; Sun was 70 KM bike ride

Weekend Then (early to mid 20s): Sleeping until noon as I would have been out until 2 or 3 the night before, dancing my booty off!

Sunday : church, then reading and crochet.

yeah, exciting, I know!

Back then: Roller skating, disco dancing, country western dancing, parties around a camp fire.

Now: motorcycle riding, doing stuff with the grandkids, parties around a campfire (but the parties are different now, mostly with "old" married couples rather than a bunch of immature, single teenagers looking for somebody to hook up with).

Then: Bar hopping, dancing, hittin' a boonie party, doing stuff I shouldn't have been doing, and hangin' with my boyfriends and girlfriends (notice I didn't say my sisters and brothers or my buds or my homies).

This weekend: Cooking, cleaning, paying bills, watching TV, complaining about my aches and pains, cheering (with a cocktail) the fact that we weren't obligated to attend activities with our sisters and bros, our buds or our homies. However, we always welcome the two people who pay more attention to our pocketbooks than we do -- our girls!

I had to think really hard to figure out what 1D was and then I realized One Dimension.

Ten years ago I would probably be working.

This weekend I am doing nothing and I am enjoying it

I always tell people, "The BEST years of my life were between 1978 and 1986,......or so I was told."

KJ - I'd LOVE to see those pictures! You'd probably never be allowed to work in any school system.

let's see - the only thing I have planned is meeting up for a run Saturday morning. Then I might as well take spin class since I'm at the Y any way.
Sunday is the usual - Sunday school, church, lunch with mom

years ago - probably working. This is the first job I've had that doesn't involve working weekends (in 10 years, I think I've worked MAYBE 3 Saturdays).
