I like to eat about 3 hours before a workout, and then have some good protein right after a workout. Of all the workouts I do if I eat too soon before a Yoga class I regret it every time. My 3 hour bike rides or my 2 mile swims aren't so critical, and sometimes the meals actually get me though the workout.

I workout before eating most times, I normally feel heavy if I eat before exercise, even if its a glass of water.

So in your question, I do believe you just need to experiment with different combinations and times til you find the one that works for you. Personally, I work out before eating breakfast, but many people need to eat something prior to a workout.

This is one of those instances where we can't give you a definitive answer!

Before I eat is always best for me, as long as it's not to far after I eat and I'm hungry.

I eat first so I don't get dizzy when exercising. I wait for an hour then I walk or exercise.

That depends on each person and condition. It is always good to have a light something a half our or so before (even just some orange juice) if you are hyperglycemia but if you are not it is really up to you and how you feel.

I can't eat before yoga, unless it's a very small amount. Otherwise, I get into down dog and feel like I'll be wearing my supper!!

I would not work out just after i ate...i would lose it!!! here is something i found when i googoled the question. I would post it to the exercise forum and see what the experts say, though!!

I do it after. About 15 minutes after my workout I head to the kitchen. If I have to head to work I go right away, prepare the food, and take a quick shower before I eat.
