I agree, although the fever is doing what it is supposed to---making it too hot and killing the bacteria. So if you have a cold it doesn't hurt to work out most of the time to elevate your temp and create a "fever" to help kill bugs.

No, your body needs rest and plenty of fluids. Working out would be making your body work harder to fight whatever bug you have.

I'd have to say no!! You're only going to make yourself worse. Rest up. When you're feeling better get back into the gym.

I am with Jen. Rest now, workout later. I workout with a cold, but I never workout with a fever.

I would not recommend it. Give your body time to rest and fight the bug you've got. As long as you're keeping careful track of what you're eating, you should be fine.

Get well soon!

I was wondering if anyone knows if I should be working out while I'm sick with a fever? I've been putting most of my weight loss goals, on exercise right now. I guess I could use dumbbells or something. Does anyone have any ideas.
