I use the Neufchatel cheese instead of cream cheese. Basically the same thing but with fewer calories and fat. It's usually advertised as LESS FAT cream cheese. I don't know how healthy it is but I like it so I just eat and track.

You ask if cream cheese is good for you. Well regular cream cheese contains fat and of course the calories from the fat. IT IS NOT a part of the dairy food grouping as other cheeses are---for it does NOT contain the protein and calcium amounts as do other cheeses. Cream cheese should be used as a condiment since most Americans have no trouble meeting their calorie and fat needs for the day--and there is little nutritional value.

Cream Cheese is fine... just track it like everything else.

Well like all cheese, it has protein and calcium. But I wouldn't put any cheese in the nutritional powerhouse category. You can enjoy them in a healthy diet though with no problem, so long as you watch portions

Today I ate some cream cheese for lunch (3 cream cheese sandwhich things with the cream cheese and crackers) and I know it's high in fat and calories but is cream cheese itself good for you?
