Don't waste your energy feeling bad about yourself. You are a beautiful woman on a journey to become more than you are. If you take a few missteps along the way, that's okay.
Step 1 - Go do one thing positive for yourself. Right now. Get a glass of water or a cup of green tea. Do some stretches at your desk. Throw some junk food in the trash. I'll wait here.
Done? Good. You've take a step to being back on track.
Step 2 - The next time you find a negative thought floating through your mind, fix it. A lot of people will tell you to replace it with a positive thought, but I find it more helpful to replace it with a realistic one. I find myself resisting positive thoughts that aren't realistic.

There is absolutely nothing to be insecure about. At some point, every single member of Spark People has experienced the same feelings. Most of us have gained, lost and regained the weight. That was the past. You can't change the past, but you can influence and change the future. Don't look at good health or weight loss with an all or nothing mentality. If the only healthy thing you were to do for yourself was to drink 8 glasses of water, that's still a step in the right direction.
As the old song goes,"accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative". Give yourself credit for the POSITIVE things you do for yourself. And don't be yourself up because you're not perfect. You don't have to be perfect to be healthy. All it takes is one small change to change your life. Because one small change will lead to another and another and another. before you know it, all those small changes add up into one huge accomplishment.
Don't worry, everything really does have a way of working out.

One of my favorite quotes reads, "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"...In other words do not underestimate the empowerment of taking back your health.
This does not mean we have to have a perfect life to embrace a healthy lifestyle. If it is too overwhelming to make lots of changes at once, making just a few positive permanent changes can lead us down to healthy living.

I am feeling so very insecure today. It's one of those days that I struggle not to use food as a "comfort" because I feel so badly about myself (the way I look, etc.). I'm trying to stay positive, so any encouragement would be so appreciated.
Today is day one of starting over from a set back lasting a couple months. I have gained back the 10 pounds I had lost. =/
