I have found myself in a rather ridiculous situation. Basically, I need to fit some indoor cardio in at home, but I can't do exercises that involve a lot of jumping around. Why? Well, the combination of my floors (158 years old), the beams beneath them (also 158 years old and in need of repair/replacement, which won't happen for a couple months) and the various components of my antique china sets on tables and sideboards that clatter when you walk across the room, never mind doing jumping jacks near them, well... you get the idea. It's just a very bad idea. I love my old house and my antiques, but they sure don't lend themselves to an active (indoor) lifestyle.
Is there any kind of cardio I can do that doesn't involve beating up my floors, or will I just have to wait for warmer weather to come so I can go for a run?
