My name is Serena. I live in AK. I am 5' 11'', 27 yo, and 210 right now. I have never had to work out or lose weight in my life. I have always been slender. I have the birth control, implanon, and that has alot of people gaining weight. I also went on a intensive chemo-like treatment for 6 months that left me laid up on the couch and only had an appetite for sugary cereals, pop tarts, muffins, and tons of reeses candies.
Well I want to lose 35 pounds. I just started working out at a gym last week. I started to change my diet. I cut out all sodas, all fast food, all candy, whip cream, things like that. I dont have much of an issue with eating good stuff, but lately i have had an issue with binge eating late at night. I think part of the reason I get so hungry is that I have been on methadone and xanax and those medications have been known to make people have more of an appetite.
I have a few medical issues. I have a bum knee that makes it hard to even get and stay on the treadmill, I am recovering from my c-section 13 months ago as I have zero muscles, and a have a bad back.
So I am winging it right now. I am making myself go to the gym 5 days a week for at least 30 minutes. I do the cycle machine, elliptical, and treadmill just walking when my knee can take it. I did a 30 minute personal training session this morning, and he worked me good, but I cant afford a PT at the moment,.
I really need help as to what I should be doing, what I should achieve towards, what will work, etc. Is there anyone else that have similar medical issues that inhibit their workout?
