I am so sure that you can do this. Focus on eating healthy...working out and before you know it the pounds will start coming off. Keep at it and you will be amazed.....

It took 10#s for my clothes to quit feeling tight. Then it took another 10 pounds before they felt loose. 10 more pounds before I needed a smaller size. After that every 20#s was a size till I hit about 180 then every 10#s was a smaller size.
Everybody is different and it depends on your body shape, what size you are wearing vs what size you should be wearing and what style clothing you wear.
Keep up the healthy diet and exercise and it will happen. Try to remember that your clothes didn't get tight in just 2 weeks.

Please don't give up! When I started Spark in 2006, it took 6 weeks before I really started to see changes. It takes a few weeks for healthy changes to become habits. I did find that once I got past that 6 weeks, I felt a lot more patience with myself.

All good advice. We've all been there at that impatient place. I STILL remind myself that I didn't gain my weight in a few weeks, so why in the world would I expect to take it off that quickly!!! We truly are a world that is used to instant gratification!!
You're doing well. Keep up the great work. Keep reaching out when you're impatient. Also, don't expect that you will lose in your stomach first. Each of us are different and my stomach, sadly, is usually the last thing to lose (but that might not be you).

Honestly, it does take some time, but don't get discouraged. It will happen if you just keep at it. How long it takes for your clothes to get loose kind of depends on how tight your clothes are to start. When I started, my jeans were pretty tight. To be perfectly honest, they were tight to the point where they didn't fit when they were fresh out of the dryer and I'd spray them with water to loosen them up. I think it took about 3 months before I noticed they were getting loose. I also think that, with larger sized jeans, it takes more weight loss to move down to the next size smaller jeans than it does with smaller jeans.
Seriously, though, don't get discouraged. You just need to be patient and persistent. It takes time, but it will happen. Then, you'll be on here talking about how your pants are so loose and you need to get new pants and lamenting the cost of buying them!

While a safe weekly weight loss would be 1-2 pounds per week, there will be weeks you don't lose. There will even be weeks you gain ! And that doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong. the weight doesn't magically drop off the minute we decide we need to lose. It really could take 6-8 WEEKS of healthy eating and regular exercise before a person sees a change in teh scale. And that's perfectly normal. Remember, you didn't gain the weight overnight. it's not coming off overnight.
I can assure you that if you continue to eat right, watch your portions and get some regular exercise that includes some strength training, you will see a loss with time. But you really do have to give your body more time to adapt to the new changes !!
Be patient with yourself and your body. Change really does take time.

Everyone is different. Some people notice differences quickly --- me ---- it took about 3 months. But then again, I was sooooo squeezed in my "fat" pants that I should have been wearing a size bigger!
Just keep doing those right things --- it really isn't about fitting into those pants --- it's about being a healthier person! One foot in front of the other and you will get there!

Hi everybody, I've almost made it to 2 weeks! I'm proud of myself for staying within my calorie range and working out regularly! BUT I'm doing this to slim down all over-especially my stomach. I know it takes more than 2 weeks, but how long is it going to take to begin to feel that my clothes are lose and feel like this work is paying off. I'm doing my best here to stay motivated but it's not working. Any suggestions? Thanks!
