Yesterday I excersized and Im planning on doing it again today. I also walked for half an hour yesterday. Im hoping that one day will turn into two days and two days in a row will turn into three days in a row... and so on. emoticon I also have showed my husband this site and He wants to excersize and get in shape with me. His encouragement and Sparks daily challenges and reminders might just turn "every once and a while" into "almost every day" emoticon

As silly as it sounds you will look back on this with some fondness. When you feel tired and sore you know you are working and getting somewhere.

I just want to step in here to commend you, BARBWMS, for such thought-filled and thoughtful responses to this situation. Well done, fellow Sparker!

...and to encourage you, JKAYASHFORD, to keep trying. You might want to read INDYGIRL'S or ON2VICTORY'S stories for a bit of encouragement regarding what can be done when there are physical and psychological obstacles in your path.

Wow you're so awsome! Thank you for the tips and encouragement. I suffer from depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADD, OCD, PTSD, as well as physical things like Plantar Facietis (like tendonitis in both feet) and Femeral Patella Syndrome (knee caps dont work properly) that seem to keep me down every day. IM NOT COMPLAINING, Im just saying that I have hurdles and challenges every day just to get out of bed and Make my son breakfast let alone go excersize. Im struggening with modivation becasue o the way I feel emotionally and physically. Im trying but I feel like its not enough. Thank you for your honesty with me and thanks again for your encouragement.

Actually it was a matter of being honest with myself and realizing that I had a choice... either become active or face a life of invalidism.. and that was not acceptable.

On a more practical level I invested a little bit of $$ in buying a Fitbit.. it's an electronic pedometer that gives me numbers, charts, etc.... and I began to compete with myself. That has helped immensely.

But the biggest help was that within just a few days of just a little more activity I really truly did feel better.

And I felt better about myself, having made a choice and been successful at whatever level. I liked that a lot!

There is NO such thing as TOO SMALL.. I know it feels like that, but you can and will do more and more and feel more energy and less fatigue.

Practical matters.. if you can, see your doctor and rule out any organic difficulty. Think about depression as a complication perhaps and see someone for that.

And value yourself.. you're clearly smart and pretty... but not all that happy.. you can be who you really are and who you want to be.

Thats what im trying to do, but too small isnt enough, and too big is unacheveable. I feel stuck. I need to, but doing it is where I struggle. Thanks for proving that it can be done, because I sometimes dont think I can. In the begining, how did you make yourself start a walk? And when you were tired or didnt feel good, what did you do?

hang in there.. just start small. I started my walking routine with a 10 minute walk at a slow pace... and each week built on it.. Now I'm easily doing 2 or 3 miles, and have more energy than I've had in years.. and I'm 62... you can do this!

Im wiped out every day. Tired, sore, wiped out, in pain. But in order to not feel so bad, I need to excersize. I want to loose weight so I can hurt less, so I can be more active, and have more energy. The only way its going to happen is if I get up despite how I feel and just do it.
