I believe the NIKE+ app is also on android. I've been using it to track my runs as well as some of my walks on my ipod. I find the pedometer readings to be fairly accurate. the distance is off, but the steps seem pretty spot on. So, if you're looking for a decent free pedometer APP, I'd go with the NIKE+ app. it's free.

Also, you can find cheap (decent) pedometers at Walmart, Target, Sears or even TJ Maxx in their fitness section. You can find one for $10-$20.

I use the Map my Walk app on my android phone. I just turn the GPS on when I use the app, otherwise, the GPS is off.

If you use the android phone to track, it will need GPS on and that sucks battery. I wear an Omron HJ 112 from Amazon for $20. Amazon offered a $ 5 coupn, so it was $16 and came in 3 days. It has great reviews for accuracy

A FitBit Zip is round $50 and works with Smart Phones. However, you can get cheaper pedometers from Target, Wal-Mart, Sports Authority and those stores.

I just orderd the Spark Activity tracker, I can't wait for it to come in mail. It may be your solution to getting a pedometer. I did not think it was too expensive and it also synch with your computer to update your exercise. I think you should look into it, also I'll let you know how I like when I get it. Take care.

I've been working out a lot and I enjoy it but I would like a pedometer of some kind. I would like to use it on my smart phone which is an android. I would like it to be free or very inexpensive. I don't have a lot to spend but some. I would like something to keep track of steps or miles and calories burned. Any ideas?
