I weigh in daily because I like the accountability but only one of the weigh ins can count as the official weigh in of the week. I use to be a scale freak, weighing a few times a day but now I do it in the morning. As long as you are consistently checking and seeing results, go ahead with it. If you aren't seeing progress, you might want something else to measure your progress better during the process.

yes it is. you should not be tied to the scales. Me I weigh myself once every two months.

Make sure to also check measurements, not just weight! That's a true indicator of change, as our weight tends to fluctuate!

I'd say whatever works best for you. For me, weighing once a week is best.

Go for it! Many people are discouraged by more frequent weigh-ins, and it may be better to disengage your success from the scale and focus more on non-scale victories!

If you feel that will work better for you of course it's OK! You can always switch back to sweekly if monthly isn't working for you.

I agree that monthly is a great idea for a lot of people. I think that gives you a better picture of your progress vs. one week where normal fluctuations can throw off results you'd expect.

I recommend weekly - a month is a LONG time to go, if you aren't seeing the changes, you may get discouraged. Checking the scale every 7-10 days is a good idea, or even if you're checking another form of measurement. I hate the scale, love the body fat % though. I see the change there the most. Measure something so you stay motivated and you continue seeing the results.

It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change.

I have decided to only weigh myself monthly because I rely too heavily on the scale to determine my success. Any Thoughts?
