That's so awesome. I've been thinking about getting into martial arts myself as a way to exercise without being bored.

Wonderful to find something you love.... I don't do martial arts but my sister does. But I can't persist with general gym/aerobic exercises as get bored (maybe because there is not a level to reach?) so do yoga (I love that) and dance classes....Will read the blog now

Congratulations! My first tournament I won with Rear Naked Choke consistently. As much as I love Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Carlson Gracie Jiu Jitsu, Krav Maga will always be my first love ;) Glad to see I'm not the only girl gettin it done! Way to go!

CATS_MEOW_0911, your blog was very inspirational. It is so wonderful that you have found pure joy in the pursuit of Jiu Jitsu. Plus, you could whoop a bad guy, and that's a good thing! Congratulations on the win. Looks like your gold medal is simply one of many to come.

Spark On!

Eliminate "I will try". Replace with "I will".
You are now ready to succeed.
Let's go.

Great work!

I guess I should have posted this last week, but I won a Jiu Jitsu (grappling) tournament last weekend! It was my second competition and I could not believe I won a gold medal! Also goes to show you're never too heavy to find the champion in you. emoticon Here is my blog about the tournament:
