OMG...I feel for you and know exactly where you're coming from. We take everyone else's troubles onto our shoulders. And they never truly appreciate what we're doing for them or giving up for them.
But beware... Because of my doing this for so many years, my BP was "clocked" at 187/88 recently. And despite the fact that I have lost weight and eat properly...I am now (as of this past week) on BP meds.
I have had to learn to separate myself and my own wants/needs from everyone else's. This is now about MY survival... They'll have to all tough it out themselves from now on.
Including my recent "ex". After all these years...yeah...
Move on. We can do it together.
Life is a hoot...and it just gets "hootier" every day!

This weekend was blah other them my grandson being here entertaining me and keeping me from bawling. I had to put my foot down with my 17 year old and say no shopping for prom dress until her room is clean and she did some homework, she was argumentative but I stuck to my guns and received an apology call when I was out shopping, after I left alone and told her well not today you did not do what you were told so I went with my husband. I also had to tell my mom to straighten out after she insisted she call me after she and my niece got into it again. My niece is her caretaker and my mom is being mean to her. I told her she needs to stop and treat us kids and grandkids right. She cried and said oh its my fault huh? I said mom you know what you are doing, I then told her my niece moved in to take care of her after my mom said she opened her home to her. I told my mom she is not doing my niece a favor, my niece is doing her favor that she had her own home and gave it up to care for her. Anyhow after the call my niece said she straightened up. My stress level was up today, and I wish I could redo my weekend. In the end both things seemed to work out, so all I can wish for now is a better weekend next weekend.
