I feel pretty good today. Friday and Saturday were bad days for reasons other than food. Sunday was better. I ate too much but most of it was healthy. I got up far to early today but I have started laundry so that is a plus. It rained last night so it smells really clean and fresh outside. I feel optimistic. My wt. is up a little. I am ok though.

I ate to much yesterday. But thats of because I am three days clean of the sauce. I ordered some flax pitas today. I will work out tomorrow after work and sit in the sauna. Friday will be my weigh in at the hospital. I feel really good about the last three days and know that I am back on track.

I just got home from a wedding in Arizona. I have been eating badly now for about 1.5 weeks. I am home now and today I am going back on my plan. Lower carb and no alcohol. I feel really bloated and such so I will wait until Friday to weigh myself. Lots of junk food in the house for the rest of the clan. Thats ok because I know what I need to do for myself. I am in control not the food. I can still eat and lose weight. I just have to remember who is driving this bus.

I really ate badly yesterday. And I know why. I had some wine. Its like poison for me. I drink I eat plain and simple. I have finally started to lose some weight and I am not going to let alcohol mess this progress up. I don't even know why I drink I never feel good after. I'm done with it.

I did it! I passed my weigh in and my PRT! I am so releived. The really cool thing is that I am motivated even more now to keep on going. We went to Las Vegas last weekend and I actually went to the gym and worked out. I hope everyone out there is doing well. This journal is helping me to stay accountable.

Regardless of the outcome of the weigh in tomorrow keep up the consistency! Now that you are feeling better you can focus on your fitness goals. Great job on getting the food intake under control, it is something I consistenly struggle with!

I hope you are all doing well. I have been ill for about two weeks. Need to weigh in tomorrow and not very excited about it. I am still plugging along. I fell off the wagon for a couple of days last week. I really felt gross and out of control. I guess that just cinches it for me. I feel 100% better being of the sauce and I have a total handle on my food intake. That and eating much lower carb. The cravings are gone. I am never ever going to give up. I want to support anyone who is with me.

It has been a long time since I posted here. I did not know I could find this from my Sparkpage. No ETOH for 12 days and I am finally starting to lose. PT test in 2 weeks and 5 days. Yes I can do it!

I can't beleive it has been 20 days since I posted on this. Today I took a run/walk with my puppy! I am now counting down to my PT test. Must get movin!

Well the last two days at work were very very draining.

I am off for three days now. What to do for excercise today? I still need to get my bike. I went to the store on Sunday and saw a few options.

I will check back in later for a update. I did not eat healthy yesterday and I am worried about getting on the scale.

Things I accomplished today:

1. I did my ZUMBA
2. Went to the store and got some much needed shopping done
3. Vacum
4. Washed some clothes
5. picked up the house.

A good day! And its time to relax.

I am so glad it is Monday. I worked about 40 hours in the past three days ( a nurse you know) and it was physically and emotionally draining. I ate way to much last night but I am finally feeling better.

Still have this stupid cough but I am finally ready to get back on the ZUMBA train.

Jenny-I hope you try Zumba. The nice thing is you can always find a class or do it at home. Give it a shot!

I am feeling so much better today. I went to work today and was able to work my shift (charge nurse in the ICU).Still coughing but I can get my breath!

i cant wait to try the zumba DVDs! i have never taken the classes but it looks very fun! i am using them as a reward. once i have my baby and finally loose some of this baby weight im going to buy them for myself! i hope they are as much fun as i hope! ill have to keep up on your posts to see how things are going for you!

I got up too early this morning. Mostly because I was coughing and felt bad for waking my hubby up. I am still hoping to work tomorrow. I have about half of my voice back. Man this is a creepy way to lose weight. I feel like I'm breathing through a honeycomb. I don't know how else to describe it. I still feel better today than I did yesterday.

Thank you so much. I am. Its so funny when I totally healthy I can think of a ton of excuses not to work out. But when I am sick (had to got to the ER and for a ICU nurse that is a big deal) all I can think about is stuff I can't do. I am 44 and it has been over 20 years since I have been this sick. I guess it was bound to happen.

Well I am feeling a little better today. Which is good because I have to work tomorrow. No coffee for 4 days. I made my applesauce oatmeal muffins yesterday. At least I felt like I did something.

My husband and I are on day three with the FLU! It has been a very long time since I have been this ill. Nurses are the worst patients you know. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. Hope every one else is doing well out in spark land.

Bummer! I hope your knee feels better soon. I have a small muscle pull in my thigh from not stretching beforehand.

I have been doing the beginner workout and I am ready to move on to the next level. As a sat on my couch this am I thought, I am not letting this dvd set become another collection of DVD's not used. So I made a deal with myself. I would sit by the pool for 30 minutes and than go in and do my workout. Yes Yes Yes I am doing something finally! Feels good! Everyone have a great day!!

I have Zumba at the house. It is fun. However, One night I must not have stretched enough and actually injured my knee from twisting. My wife laughed at me. It was a bit amusing but now I'm stuck nursing my knee which is really interrupting my workouts. Part of the game I guess. But I have to say Zumba is a great workout. Best of luck!

I think the way your clothes fit is a much better way to assess progress! Finally, a exercise that is fun!!!! I will Zumba when I wake up (night shift nurse). We will not give up!

I am finally feeling like I am getting the hang of this. I actually had fun and felt like I got some decent excercise in. Today I feel better about myslef. I am getting ready to go to work and I have a little pep. Is been a few days since I last posted but I'm still here! I hope you are all doing well!

It is a aerobic excercise that really combines several types of danceing like salsa and reggae. There are Zumba classes pretty much everywhere. I bought the DVD set for when I am at home making excuses about not being able to go to a class or go outside. I just started and I can tell you its fun! And now that I am learning the moves its a little easier. And for today I made NO EXCUSES! Than I took a nice walk with my dogs and my hubby. I think him seeing me do the Zumba motivated him. I still feel like a dork when I'm dancing but I'm a happy dork!

Hey I will check out those Zumba workouts on line too. I am still trying to perfect some of the more complicated moves. In my twenties I could really dance, funny what a difference 25 years and 50 pounds makes. Well I am still going I felt less frustrated and less like I had to left feet. When I start to feel good about it I will go back to classes. It helps me to see those who have had some great resluts ( And I have seen them). My goal is to be a Zumba instructor. I think my struggle will make it easir to conncet with others who may struggle. But most of all I WANT TO HAVE FUN while I get healthY! I am sick of being fat and having people say, "I remember when you looked so different". It hurts and I want those comments to stop. Its like they don't see me as the same person.Oh and I am getting a bike and helment tomorrow. Wish me luck and positive vibes out too all my sparkmates! (like shipmates, I'm in the NAVY).

I belong to the "BECK Diet Solution" Team (which isn't a DIET but how to THINK like a THIN person) and here are some of Judith Beck, PhD helpful points.
I know I don't care at this moment, but pretty soon I'm going to feel really bad that I ate this. When I get on the scale, I'm going to care very much. If I don't learn to resist eating food I'm not suppose to have, I'll never be able to keep off the weight I lose.
I have to become an expert at resisting all food that I haven't planned to eat. If I want to lose weight and keep it off, I just can't eat what I want unless it is on my plan.
I am choosing to say NO CHOICE.
If I want to lose weight, I have to do what I need to do, not what I feel like doing.
Successful dieters and maintainers stay successful because they don't eat whatever they want, whenever they want it. They stick to their plans.
It is true that I don't care at this moment. But if I eat this unplanned food, I'm going to care quite a lot in a few minutes. I know I'll feel really bad if I give in now, but I'll feel really terrific in a few minutes if I resist. I need to do something else!

I have Zumba DVD's as well! I did it at the gym I went to, and it was the only class I enjoyed because I love to dance. When I had to quit the gym I discovered the dvd and was super excited. It is frustrating at first, but once you get the moves down it's so much fun! Good Luck!!

Day 1. I finally got my Zumba DVD's after waiting for 10 days. The moves are much harder than I thought. It was really frustrating. Thats ok because at least I know I will get a good workout. My husband wants to go to Las Vegas in a month. Good I have something to work towards. Lose 2 pounds a week. I hope journaling helps keeps me accountable. Here we go gang.
