You are off to a great start! I was the same way and now I love it! Even the soreness afterward - it reminds me that I've accomplished something. The old "too tight" pants now fitting are another great reminder too. Keep up the good work!

I signed up for a membership at the YMCA yesterday and today I went right after work and did 30 minutes on a recumbent bike, after months of not doing anything active at all! I might've been able to keep going if I didn't badly need to pee by that point (and my legs felt like they were on fire.)
Now my legs still feel like jello and the muscles around my knees are still tight and I know I'll be feeling the pain tomorrow morning...
