I think it's the overall picture that matters. I try to get close to my numbers each day but look at my values per week.

I have 2 days a week where I go over my calorie range, a few middle days, 1 low range day and 1 day under my range. I started calorie cycling and lost 2.5 lbs my first week of doing it after being stuck for a couple weeks.
It's a good way to wake up your metabolism so it doesn't get used to eating at a large defict all the time.
"Toning" is marketing muscles to women who are afraid if they pick up a barbell, they'll leave the gym looking like She-Hulk. It doesn't happen, what does happen is you get results. Lifting Barbie weights does nothing but waste time.

Great! It's okay to have these days now and then, give yourself a pat on the back for not throwing your hands up and declaring defeat!
I may not be there yet but I'm closer than I was yesterday.
I got tired of starting over and working back to where I was, so I have stopped giving up!
