Definitely eat. My go to snack when I go a bit over is a quarter cup of peanuts. Usually holds me over until bed.

When I'm low on calories, I tend to reach for oatmeal with cinnamon and fruit for about 200 calories.

Go with your 1st option-eat something low calorie that is filling.
Maybe look at what you ate and see what you can do differently next time.
A few weeks ago I was at panera with a friend, and we split a pumpkin muffin. When I got home and looked it up, that muffin had way more calories that I thought it would-295 calories for 1/2 a muffin! (which wasn't even that good) I learned what not to get the next time I am at panera.
Tomorrow is another day. : )

I understand your concern, but today is but one day in many, many days you'll have. You'll be just fine.
Eat a lot of veggies tonight....how about some grilled veggies w/ a sprinkling of parm cheese and a big glass of 30 cal per cup almond milk? Maybe a couple hard boiled eggs?
Envision today as a tiny blip on your rear view mirror, getting smaller and smaller until you can't see it at all. Tonight's dinner is a great new opportunity for you to eat healthy and normally. No punishing yourself just because you are human and ate more than you planned.
Tomorrow is yet another opp for you to do more healthy eating so chin up - no panic - you got this! The worst thing you can do is let the panic set in and then totally fall off the wagon. No need - this is but one day.

Skipping dinner may actually make you hungrier later, so I would not recommend that you skip dinner. I like your first option...remember that weight loss is not based on what we do on a single day or two, but what we do over many, many days.
Use this time as a learning opportunity. What could you have done differently to allow you to stay within your range? So many of us have lived a lifetime of making unhealthy choices that we cannot and should not expect to break these habits the minute we decide to take this leap into this new way of living.
Eat something healthy and chock it up to learning...after all if we already knew what we were doing, none of us would be here.

I didn't track until AFTER a carry-in lunch at work. Should I eat something for dinner? It's only 6 pm, and I'm getting hungry
I already went over two days ago; I really don't want to make a habit of this. I know everyone has days where they go over their calorie range, but I've done it 2 out of 3 days now.
My options are to find something to eat which is filling and low on calories, or drink a ton of water to try to stave off the hunger.
