I know because I did NOT say I don't weigh myself more often than once a month. I just don't record it because I know that it bounces around and soon would make me crazy worrying about it. What I do is monitor where I am by weighing often (usually daily but not always) but not getting excited or upset unless I suddenly start seeing a trend upward that doesn't bounce back downward. I am no angel or saint - I am not perfect - BUT this way, I keep track without getting deeply immersed in the NUMBERS game.

I've not had the chance to change it, but the once a month thing seems like it would be a good idea. I don't blame you if you don't want to change it if its one pound but seeing that ticker move a little might help you. So that you know you are doing something and losing and getting where you want. I wouldn't worry about it though just try to find a time frame that makes you feel the best.
No you are NOT crazy. I don't change mine except once a month for the exact same reasons you mentioned. Now, I go with whatever the weight is at the beginning of the month whether it is 3 pounds less than the day before or 5 pounds more than the day before and I do not change it even if I am lower the next day or higher the next day. The only weight that goes on my ticker is the weight on the morning of the first day of each month. I weigh more often and notice but I do not record it until the monthly WI that I do.
It looks like I've lost another pound but I hate changing my ticker when the scale only goes down 1 pound. It's likely that it may be right back up the next morning. I ate very well over the past couple of days (and fairly well in the past few weeks). I am anxious to get below 200 and only have 8 pounds to go but changing my ticker only 1 pound seems to curse me...If I go down 1 it'll come back on and then it's another two weeks until that pound is TRULY gone. Am I crazy or what? I know, baby steps. Do you all change yours every time it goes down a pound?
