1st Congrats on your success and consistency with this journey.

Second you probably haven't been in touch with your true emotions in a long time because you were an emotional eater (you ate when you were sad, happy, stressed, overwhelmed, frustrated, annoyed, excited). All those emotions seemed the same because you celebrated or handled them the same way.

I would look up a list of feelings/moods and emotions and write them down. Then identify how you feel/respond are when you experience that emotion.

GOOD LUCK! Keep up the great work

Have you tried journaling? Sometimes, writing about your feelings can help. Or, you could try talking it out with a counselor.

Congrats on the progress you've made thus far! Keep it up!

Now what do I do when I feel sad? I am 1/4 of the way to my goal now, and the only thing I am finding difficult is figuring out my emotions.

Does anyone else feel sad or have other emotions that they used to just eat to fix?

Any suggestions on figuring them out now that I don't smother them in food? I have smothered them with food for so long, I don't even know what to do with feelings anymore.

Still going strong with eating well and exercising... still losing weight... still feeling positive... just need to feel again.
