I feel the pain too! I have an 11 year old and she made me so mad the other day that I swore a blue streak and sent her to my mother's for the weekend so I could cool off. I didn't even know I could get that angry.

I feel your pain. I currently have four kids ages 17,16,15 and 9. When they were young I worked outside of the house and was comfortable leaving them in daycare and knowing they were safe. I quit my job to stay home last year when I came home early and found my son had his girlfriend at my house. They were not doing anything, but I am just not comfortable with them having access to an empty house whenever they want. There are many more things I worry about now that I did not when they were young. I miss having babies.
I feel your pain. I have an 18-year old and an 18-month old . Both keep my constantly on my toes for different reasons! All ages have their challenges for sure.
I can and I will - watch me!

I understand...my sons are in their 20's. ... Five yrs apart...do not get along....Haven't spoken in over a year...breaks my heart. One son has real issues over this situation...the other just tries to go on with life. Neither is married and neither is home. One son has soooo many plans and wants to get married but nothing is going his way...and way too slow. Stress in every direction. I feel so bad for him but I can't fix it...that's the worst part of being a parent. Sometimes we can't fix things for them...they have to lear to deal with the curveballs life throws at you.
Smile God Loves You!!! and with HIM anything is possible !!!
I had three kids in four years and thought I might go crazy. But now they are 3,5 and 6, I realise that what my elderly neighbour told me is true. The problems never get easier, they just change with time. Kids are a challenge. But I love the challenge, and even at the hard times, I remember those tiny baby fingers and toes and know that whatever my kids do, and however hard it gets, I will always love them to bits.

I have identical twin boys age 19, and a 10 year old son that thinks he is 19... I feel your pain! I truely think that the reason that animals eat thier young in the wild is to prevent TEENAGERS!! And trust me, they have the right idea! I never knew being a mother would be this tough, i never imagined I would ever experience this kind of heart break. I am hopeful that my older, wiser friends are right, and the aliens will return my once loving and kind teenagers with normal humans!!
Good luck, and by all means, VENT, it makes the rest of us not feel so alone :-)

I have a 16 year old and a 14 year old, both are girls, and some days they can be more trying than back when they were babies. But I love them anyway. :)

When your kids are little, their care is a lot of physical maintenance - brush your teeth, bath time, feeding them, getting them from point A to point B. As they get older the care becomes more emotional and mental - and it is waaaaay harder. I have a 25, 23, 21, 19 and 17 year old. It's tough. My 23 year old broke up with his girlfriend of 5 years at Xmas, my 21 year old - well her BF, his Dad was being investigated for stealing from his company and then he went missing and then he killed himself....My 17 year old is failing Grade 11 English, my 25 year old doesn't understand why her BF's mother is so mean to her......It's not easy. No just wiping tears and little noses and hugging them. But, I wouldn't trade being a Mom for anything; the fun times, the times full of love, the times they make me soooo proud - well that outweighs the hard parenting stuff a million times over. I hope you can find that place with your kids! This weekend my 5 kids, and the oldest and the youngest ones significant others will be volunteering with me at a Mother's Day walk and race to raise money for the neonatal units at local hospitals. Best Mother's Day gift ever!! Hang in there and know that tis too will pass.

Ooooh what I put my parents through at that age! I am sure it will get better for you but that doesn't help much now i know.
I am just losing my mind with my daughters, ages 16 and 19. I was divorced 2 years ago and there's still lingering resentment from that. My older one doesn't want to grow up and the younger one is having a hard time organizing her life and chores. There are also issues with their father, where the older one adores him and the younger one won't speak to him and is scared of him. Mostly wanted to vent but holy moly, I didn't expect all of this at their ages!
