Way to go on rejoining! I've done the same thing recently as well.
When I want to quit, skip a workout, or start binge eating, I try to remind myself why I joined SparkPeople in the first place. I've had serious back and other joint problems, so I try to think of my exercise as treatment for those issues. Even though it can be hard, the more you move, the better you will feel! Strengthening your body and shedding pounds will help your back :)
My biggest advice is to determine your BIG WHY. That is the reason you are on this journey. My chiro asked me what it was and when I told him to lose weight and be happy, he said I may as well just shoot myself now. He said that wasn't BIG ENOUGH. He started pointing me in a different direction. Yes losing weight is still something I am looking at, but my BIG WHY is actually to be the best Aunt that i can be. The best aunt is not obese, not tired after walking up one freaking flight of stairs, and certainly can play hide and seek or my nephews favorite game 52 pickup (and not necessarily with a deck of cards). The pictures of the kids keep me going. When I want to quit exercising I see that 9 month old face smiling at me and i hear "play wif me". I see that 20 year old face look at me and hear "betcha can't do 5 more" and then i usually do 10. And I finally look at the picture of AngelMOM and know that she did not birth a quitter.
I live by no excuses because I can't get it by staring, wishing, drooling, or hoping. I won't get it easy. I will get it by getting off my butt working for it every second of every day for the rest of my life.
I'm just getting back in the swing of things myself. I too am a strayer. Looking forward to making it happen this go around! Congratulations on your rejoin. Look forward to seeing you around the message boards. :)
Start doing what's necessary, then do what's possible, and suddenly you'll be doing the impossible!
