thanks for your replies slimmerkiwi.
Have been Alcohol free(AF) since march 19th except for Easter when I drank a liter of margaritas...sigh.
They were "lite" so fewer calories but still....
I have made it a goal to be AF the month of april....
it has been really hard at times like last night.
Tonight I am sipping my water with stevia sweetener, vanilla cream flavored and I love it!
For some reason I forgot about it last night, that would have helped me immensely!

I don't drink, but I have found that when I first joined SP, and have wanted to eat, by coming on here and reading the articles I would get so engrossed that I forgot all about food for quite a long time - even past my normal meal time - LOL!

I called that friend and she helped to distract me for a while and now back on here. Hubby should be home in an hour or so....not sure actually. I think I will try to watch a rerun of downton abby.

congratulations on your weight loss! you are doing great!!
I ate some nuts and pumpkin seeds and am chewing gum. Have not called my friend yet but plan on doing that soon. thank you for your reply.

I hope that you succeed in your struggle. Finding some alternative entertainment might be a good way of getting through this. Do you like bowling? Do you like community-type exercises, i.e. Zumba and the like?

I actually came here to post the same statement. I too want a drink and am struggling to not go tothe bar 3 blocks away and have a couple. but i promised myself tobe Alcohol free the month of april....so I have to prove to myself that I can commit to something. Think I will go grab some gum! that usually takes the edge off and maybe some pumpkin seeds and nuts. Food is not a substitute for alcohol but I choose healthier snacks this way.
Hubby is not home he helps to ground me....maybe I can call a friend.
