I'm more consistent if I work out at home. Actually, right now, I'm doing a ST workout generated for me by SP (first time I've looked at what it would generate) that I can do at work! It's four exercises, and 3 of them I can do when I go to the bathroom - the other one I can do sitting at my desk. So far, I like it! When I started, there was one that I could only do THREE of at one time (of course, it puts weight on my hip, which I had replaced:-). Now, I can SEVEN at one time:-) It's the little things sometimes that we (I!) have to focus on. I'm also trying to be generally more active. It's still small, but it's what I can do and then some. Progress, not perfection.

So how's everyone doing? I ate within my calorie range today - a BIG deal for me:-) I'm DETERMINED to lose that pound when I weigh in on Monday:-)

Have a spark-ly day!!!
:-)

I go to the gym by myself. I always felt like I had to keep up with my sis when we went together.

Hi I know it's really hard but you lost 3 pounds it's great! Last year I went to the gym everyday for about 3 months and didn't loose 1 pound because I wasn't changing my eating habits, eating more if changing....I like the site too and I am very happy so far.

Hi Hikeshappy,
I'm not giving up either. I'm still hanging in there, made lots of changes since 1-1-13. I started eating better, and went back to the gym but only lost 3 lbs so far. This is going to be a very long road. Ever since I went through menopause a year ago I gained weight and cant seem to get it off. I have to bump up my excersicse I guess. Slow progress is better than no progress. I don't have time to get obsessed about anything, I have to spread my time out over a bunch of things. But I do like the sparkpeople site and all the support it offers.
Take care, keep up the good work.
Cindy

Sorry everyone for not posting lately. I had oral surgery, and I also find that it's hard for me to post on the weekends (it's the only time I get to see my DH).

I read a blog recently that talked about getting obsessed with SP. I need to figure out how to do that:-) (while working and forming healthy habits, of course:-). I'm willing if you are - I won't give up on you if you don't give up on me.

Have a great Tuesday tomorrow!

Hi Hikeshappy: Glad to hear you are feeling better, I suffered with migraines for years and the doctors never did find out what was causing them, and then I just stopped having them still don't know what caused them. Anyway I'm rambling, just want you to know I sympathize. I know how bad migraines can be--

Hi, I'm doing good today. I'm at work having lunch. Ooh I hate those migranes. I had one on day two of cutting out sugar but I'm good now. I have been sticking to my eating plan. Comming to this site is helping me. I know I'm not alone.

So how is everyone doing today? I got up with a migraine (I've gone from 13 in October to 4 in December, so it's hard to be upset about having one today) so I slept in until noon or longer. Finally it's gone:-) I haven't done so much yet - the aftermath wears me out. But at least I will hopefully meet my calorie range (it helps to cut out the morning - lol). I hope to get moving and do a little physical activity, too.

LINEDANCELOVER: It;s the same way with me. And sometimes I think you just have to know you are going to slip now and then, and get back on that wagon, instead of giving up, I am like you, determined to succeed this time-

BONVOVI92 - I've been here for a few years. A couple of years ago, I lost 40 pounds. I have a lot more than that to take off, but it felt awesome! Then I went back to work two years ago, and it's slowly come back on. Of course, I also had surgery (total hip replacement) and several infections since my immune system was low, and a TON of migraines during the last two years:-) I hope things are finally calming down, and I'm DONE being this size. I AM taking off 50 pounds - 1 pound per week - this year. Period. Done:-)

BCBSGIRL - You certainly have a lot going on! I learned when I did lose some weight that I really have to focus on baby steps, and the weight came off on its own. You can DO this!

LINEDANCELOVER - It's embarrassing when you have to be so careful so that you don't fall - I KNOW. But baby steps, consistency - I KNOW they'll work (I just have to figure out how it all works with my current situation:-). We can DO this!! I have to be careful, because I'll spark a while, then stop a while, then start again, etc. I don't know WHY I stop - I just do:-) But I am determined to take off some of this weight this year.

ESCHELLER - I also have a hard time staying motivated (so very obvious since I'm still at my high weight:-). I've just decided that I really, really want to have a success story, and I'm done with giving in to my weakness. Ok, so I messed up (a lot!) today, but I'm NOT stopping!!

:-) It doesn't help to be tired - which is what I am now at 8:45 p.m.:-) I didn't want to get back onto SP tonight, but I wanted to track my supper so I made myself do it. That's a little thing, but it's the little things that add up, and I'm DETERMINED that I AM taking off 50 pounds in 2013! So there, extra weight:-)

Wow bcbsgirl, you have so many great reasons to lose weight! A family, your students and your health. Keep thinking of those things when you want to reach for that no no. May be write them down and keep them on your fridge.
I know all about being sick and tired of being sick and tired. I am so there! My health is going down hill fast. I have fallen twice recently trying to get up off the floor and I just couldn't hold the weight I guess and down I went. Disgusting. I have been having a lot of pain in my legs and Dr says it's due to the exra weight on my joints and legs.
I need to get this off! Overweight hurts!
Lets all do this!! No giving up!

That's right Bonvov, dont give up that's the key right there. Especially if we slip we have to get back up and start again if we want to lose this weight. I so want to lose this weight so badly! I know it's going to take a while but with the help and support I'm getting from all of you, I can do this! I listened to sparkradio at work today and it really helped me stay off those office goodies left over from Christmas. I brought my lunch and snacks and happy to say I made it through day 2 and doing good! Yay!

I can completely relate! I lost 50 lbs. between 7th and 8th grade and started gaining it all back my senior year of high school, when I started working in fast food. I bounced back and forth throughout 2012 (and reached an all-time high of 195), but it's a new year and I'm getting married in June (and can't fit into the dress I bought last August) and it's time to start again and stick with it. (It's not just about the dress! I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired, I'm a teacher and want to be able to keep up with my students, I'm facing weight-related fertility issues and want to start a family, and I'm hypoglycemic). Feel free to friend me!

Hi Rhonda, your message sounds so like me. I could use a buddy to lose weight with. I also have health issues related to my weight. I started back on my food plan on the 31st. and have a terrible headache that is due to sugar withdrawal. been here before. let's give each other encouragement. we can do this!

I need someone I can be accountable to. I fell off the wagon more times than I can count last year, and I've now got some medical stuff going on that is made worse by my weight, so I've GOT to get healthier & fitter.

I don't work out at the gym right now, I'm going back to my Walk Away the Pounds dvds, and around a month and a half into any workout program I start to fall off the wagon, so I'm needing someone who can keep me pumped up to get me over my wall.

Anyone? :)
