I'd already eaten all of my calories for the day by the time it hit early evening so I didn't feel like eating because I wasn't hungry. Didn't bother with dinner. Come a couple of hours later and I of course had a rumbly tummy. Instead of heading the siren call of the massive bowl of Easter eggs on our counter, I steamed some broccolini and dressed it with a light dusting of shaved Parmesan cheese.
Potential caloric intake? I'm guessing at 6-8 small solid eggs, approximately 200-250 cals. Then the munching frenzy would have started and I'm sure I could have gotten through an extra 200 cals out of nowhere. Instead I had about 80 calories worth of good nutrition that actually left me feeling satisfied. It's silly to crow about such a small thing, but when you get it right it's nice to yell from the roof tops!
