Just remember that you have a certain body, and working out will not give you a b ody you're not genetically intended to have. Composition is genetic, and while you can work on it, you can't fight DNA. Just like flat chested women can't have big boobs without surgery (no matter how many chest presses they do!) you can't change your basic butt. You may have to accept that even if you build muscle, you may have no butt.
That doesn't mean you can't improve what you have, but understand that you need to set reasonable goals. A J-Lo booty may not be in the cards; but a good strength program can give you strength and shape that'll look good on YOUR backside!

Those are good if you're looking to build muscle endurance but won't increase strength or muscle size. Check out body weight exercise books like the books by Mark Lauren. Some of the guys can do crazy crap like: www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBQV4vmzF_M
