I hate doing laundry!!!!

My sister is very particular about the laundry. Separating, small loads, gentle cycle, add the additives, hang up, gentle dry, full dry....gee, it just goes on and on. But she likes doing it.
I find it a big waste of time. Once or twice a week, everything together in warm water. For good weather, on the clothes line, in bad into the dryer on blazing for one hour. If something doesn't survive such treatment, out it goes. And wherever the iron and board is, they can stay there. I don't need them unless we're going to wedding or funeral. I don't mind doing the laundry my way at all.
Now vacuuming. Ick!! Especially the diningroom....all those spindly legged chairs. But I do it once a week without fail. I find a clean, tidy house keeps my mind calm and open to peace.

I don't mind doing laundry its grocery shopping I hate, laundry is ok with me, but I just hate shopping at the grocery store and lugging heavy bags home and down a long corridor from the car, getting too old to do this!

not only laundry....any household chore is a pain in the tail...but unfortunately, it has to be done. I hate ironing so I only purchase wash and wear clothes like T shirts, and clothes which are made from material which require very little or no ironing for work.

I really don't have a strong emotion about doing the laundry. I do use a dryer. Maybe the folding part is what I dislike the most.

My Mother told me when she first got married she washed my Dad's clothes on a scrub board,so when I think of stomping around because I have laundry to do I think of my Mom & I could be doing just that back then when she had no other choice at that time.

THIS IS NOT POOR ME...BUT A PERSPECTIVE...MY WASHER/DRYER IS ON OUR LOWER LEVEL AND I NEED DOUBLE KNEE REPLACEMENT AND CAN'T GO DOWN THERE TO DO IT!!! I WISH I COULD! MY HUSBAND TRIES TO TAKE CARE OF IT, BUT HE HATES IT AND I AM LUCKY TO GET A LOAD A WEEK OR SO...

I hate doing laundry because I have to go to basement of my apartment building. Previously I always had my on washer/dryer. At the apartment the washers cost $2.50 for each load and the dryer cost $2.00 per load. That adds up when I do four loads a week.

Hate ironing the most.

I don't like laundry either. I have to use a dryer because I live in the city and if I hung my clothes out on the line. Someone would steal them.

What I really hate is the little Leprechauns that live in my washing machine and turn my clothes inside out. And steal my socks. LOL! Just Kidding

washing the clothes: OK, the seperating the whites from colors and tericloth towels is a little time consuming.

drying the clothes: Easy

Taking the clothes out of the dryer: Easy

Getting the rest of the house to take thier clothes up to thier rooms: hard ad hell

I used to hate it and complain about doing laundry until I spent the entire year of 2006 in Nigeria Africa and had to wash all my clothes by hand in a bucket, wring them out, hang them up because there were no washers and dryers and even if there were there was no electricity. I've come to be thankful now for the ammenities we have in America and laundry is no longer a dreaded chore. Take away your washers, dryers, laundromats and electricity and then see how much you hate laundry.

The first time I got laid off, I hung the clothes outside to save money. Saw no change in the bills. I even kept the lights off as much as possible and the heat down during the day.

It it bothers you that much, use the dryer. Why have the stress over that? It could be making you fat, the stress I mean.

I don't mind it. I got rid of my dryer though over a year ago. I have a small house, and I am much happier using the space the dryer took up with extra shelves in my utility room. I hang my stuff on those folding drying racks to dry. Also, not using the dryer saves $$$ on the electric bill!

The funny thing is ... my mother, sister, and I were talking about it one time. My mom said, "Why do you think I always asked you girls to help with those chores? They were my least favorite, too."

I actually like doing laundry. The ONLY thing I hate it lugging it all to the laundry mat. But, I love the smell of fresh, clean clothes and seeing them all folded neatly. The laundry mat makes things go SO much quicker. You can wash and dry all the loads at the same time. : )

we live in an apt so no washer or dryer. We get our laundry done for us. so every Saturday we just drop it off and pick it up the next day like dry cleaning. makes life so easy but its an extra expense.

I've found that it's the folding I dislike. Only when I'm at campus do I use a dryer (otherwise it's fresh sea air all the way, and my clothes smell amazing). But I've found a friend who we trade "chores" with, so I wash dishes and she folds laundry. Everyone goes home happy not having to do the chores they dislike most.

I wish I didn't have to! Or I had a dryer, I hate hanging out the washing! But it's one of those things you have to do, otherwise, there'll be no clean clothes to wear!

But having and using a dryer regularly is not very environmentally-friendly. And with Malaysia's lovely sunshine, it'll be a shame not to take advantage of the wheather!
