I had the same thing happen!! I didnt want to fall of the wagon in the first place but got pregnant and was too scared to follow through with exercise and healthy dieting (losing weight) so I just stalled out and abandoned sparkpeople!!-I didnt want to hold my self accountable!!_Now that my daughter is here (born 7/23/12) --the spark has been spreading like crazy!! No one can stop me now but myself and so far so good!!- I've had my husband trying to derail me but nope because I have made up my mind and know where I want to be by this time next year!!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I totally understand what you are saying....I felt it recently too. Something has clicked and I realize that this is my LIFE. I'm in it for the long-haul. I know what I want & I will get there. :)

Good luck to you on your weight-loss journey! :)

I get it, but once you truly make up your mind you can't be stopped. I find myself asking myself as I take a walk when it's raining, or get up to work out when I'm tired...."so do you really mean it?" And I tell myself "yes I do". It works great!

You will do it this time, I'm sure! I did that for 3 years and finally in July I sat down and made up my mind! I have lost 12lbs since and I will stay on track this time! Good Luck!

Sometimes it just takes a while, but you are smart to keep looking for that shift and being open for change to the better. Spark has great motivational articles to keep you focused. I do know what you mean, I used to call them "false starts". Spark is a wonderful place to be able to keep that focus; because the focus is on the whole you and not just your weight. My weight is being shed so slowly that I think, without Spark, I would have folded weeks ago. With Spark, after 3 months, I'm fitting into clothes that used to be too small and had a great report from my doc on how much healthier I am.
Hang in, because THIS TIME _ YOU'VE GOT SPARK emoticon emoticon
