It is so good to "hear" the encouaragement here. I get frustrated, too. Then I start to think well, if I messed up today I might as well quit. But I really am trying to find my want to. Hope you keep talking and working w/ us.

Hi, I'm glad you've decided to rely on others-I find that hard sometimes too, but it really does help knowing others are going thru the same things!
Those 'experts' say there's good changes going on INSIDE our bodies even when we can't see them on the outside. I sure hope so, cause getting stuck IS very frustrating! But I'd encourage you NEVER give up and STAY CONNECTED here no matter what-sometimes it takes awhile to figure out what works best for YOU!!
And I know I feel better in every way when I take care of myself the way I should. So hang it there-you'll be just fine!!
That can definitely be frustrating, for sure! Sorry you haven't been seeing the progress you would hope for...but definitely hang in there! Also, you may want to consider taking some measurements, if you haven't already. I know that when I began running my weight loss came to a skidding halt; however, my shape completely changed so my clothes all fit a lot differently.
You may just be replacing fat with muscle which is more compact and takes up less space.

Hang in there! You may want to try changing up the way you do things. I stalled in my weight loss recently so I started experimenting. I've found that by eating towards the middle of my calorie range I lose weight, but towards the low end nothing.

Hi everyone! I am Meg, and I have actually been on sparkpeople for a while now, since March (2013). I hadn't bothered with things like the message boards, because, well, I was gonna just take care of business and do this on my own, right? Yeah. 8-ish weeks and no weight progress later, here I am. I do have some progress, health-wise... it just isn't showing up as numbers coming off the scale. I exercise. I log my foods. I weigh in once a week. I check my measurements once a month. I feel like I am doing all the right stuff, but I don't feel like I am getting anywhere.
