I am starting some crochet projects to work on in the evening to keep me from snacking after dinner. It really works! I need to make 2 Christmas stockings and a nice set of placemats for my table. I'm hoping it will keep me from overeating after dinner!

Glad you found your hook!

Fantastic. And thanks for reminding me about crochet. It keeps my hands busy and me from not eating.

Seriously, I was waiting for you to tell us you dropped it in your food you were cooking. In the old days, I had a special room where I did my sewing and all mt needlework.

I have set aside the crochet project I was working on and am now working on a knitting project...I have so many started projects. My lack of discipline does not limit itself in my eating habits.

This is so funny...I found my crochet hook too! I figured out that it was never really lost. I kept searching where I had used it last, looking for a blue one; and after a week realized that the one laying there was the one I needed but it was orange instead of blue...[slaps forehead]

I love to crochet, but cannot read patterns. I mostly make afghans, scarfs, and pot protectors.

EOWYN2424,

This happens to me all the time. I put something some place and then when I go to look for it, it disappears. I thought I put it here or there, but then I have to tear up the house wondering where "it" disappeared.

I swear some days I think ghosts really do move my stuff just to aggravate me. LOL !!

PS - my mom used to crotchet. She had all sizes of hooks everywhere. So, even if she lost one, there was always another one around. How about buying a couple of spares in case of emergency ?

I honestly thought I dropped it somewhere when it was hiding in my paper bag all along! It was under the cardboard at the bottom!

I decided to have another look to be sure and lo and behold!, I saw it sticking out! I am so happy! Now I can proceed with the lace tablecloth!
