I love wine but I lose my resolve when I drink two glasses (can't do just one glass) and then snack quite a bit. If you can drink just one glass and it doesn't make you eat, my hats off to you.

Wine is in there--I've found red, white and the specific varieties that I tend to like.

Maybe you should track BEFORE you imbibe. :)

I wouldn't mind a couple of glasses of white wine, not overly dry; however, until I get my weight back to maintenance -- no alc. beverages and no desserts. It might be a couple of months.

Thank you guys! I'm NEW (started on Thursday) and I'm still trying to navigate the food tracker. I actually started by writing everything down in a journal, and stumbled around looking for an on-line Calorie counter. That's how I found SPARKPeople. I went back to yesterday and corrected my food tracker. Thanks again for the help! Anyone want to join me for a drink next Friday? emoticon

Sometimes, foods in the nutrition counter aren't listed as what they really are. I drink wine and found the calorie count under "Red Wine."

I've also found other foods listed crazily too -- like corn is "sweet corn," coffee "regular coffee," and often the brand of a food is listed first like "Philadelphia cream cheese" instead of cream cheese.

After a few years, you'll get used to the idiosyncrasies.

Agreeably, the food counter could use a little bit of tweaking.

If you type in white wine in the tracker it will come up, then you just need to put the oz in. Most white wines have the same calorie cont.

There are tons of entries for wine. Did you try just searching for "wine"? A rough estimate for red wines are around 120-125 calories per 5 oz glass. Now, the odds are you did not have just 5 ozs... most people don't. I would measure the volume of that glass.

Last night I enjoyed a glass (full) of Robert Mondavi's Riesling (Private Collection). I tried to put it on the tracker, but there were no listings for Wine. ANY Wine! I know it's loaded with calories, so I figure I may have gone over my calorie count for the day, since I was up .2 from yesterday. Any suggestions for where to find the calorie counts? I really like to have one or two glasses per week.
